English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean Language Exchange Groups in Melbourne
Currently we are hosting two weekly language exchange groups in Melbourne for English, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese and Korean.
Language Exchange at the Couch (Every Thursday)
Global Heart Tours is pleased to announce a new place for our anguage exchanges this year – “The Couch”. This amazing venue, situated at the International Student Centre, aims to provide a safe space at night time for international students studying in Melbourne to socialise, relax, rest, study, and seek information and assistance.
When: Every Thursday, 6:00pm-8:00pm
Where: The Couch, 69 Bourke St, Melbourne
How to get there: It’s between the corners of Bourke & Exhibition Sts and Bourke & Spring Sts and it’s a five minute walk from Parliament Station.
Entry: $5
What you get: A great opportunity to make new friends and practice your foreign language. A light meal and coffee and tea will also be provided.
Atmosphere: Friendly, welcoming, informal.

Language Exchange at Gravitate Cafe (Every Saturday)
We also run a language exchange every Saturday at a fabulous little cafe in North Melbourne, just minutes from North Melbourne station.
When: Every Saturday, 2:00pm-4:00pm
Where: 133 Gravitate Cafe, North Melbourne
How to get there: By train – from North Melbourne station, turn left into Dryburgh St and keep walking about 5 minutes – just a few blocks. The cafe is on the left side of the road. By tram – take tram 57 and get off at stop 14 (Queensberry/Abbotsford St). Continue along Queensberry St and turn left at Dryburgh St. The cafe will be on your right.
Entry: $5
What you get: Another great opportunity to make new friends and practice your foreign language. The entry fee includes one free coffee or soft drink.
Atmosphere: As always, friendly and welcoming, with a lot of enthusiastic participants waiting to meet you and help you with your language learning!

If you are interested in organising a language exchange group near your suburb, please let us know. We are also hoping to create new groups for other languages such as Vietnamese and Indonesian if we can get enough interest from the community.
